A $27 million expansion project begins opening in the spring. When complete in late 2007, all acute care rooms will be private. The large private rooms will help reduce infection, shorten hospital stays and enhance privacy and patient comfort.
Oaklawn is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations, the American College of Radiology and the College of American Pathologists. It also is certified by the American Association of Respiratory Care. Oaklawn is the benchmark hospital in patient satisfaction in a regional survey of 46 hospitals by independent researcher Arbor and Associates.
